Lay Counsellor - HTA Project
Western Cape: Khayelitsha Eastern Sub-Structure (KESS)
Job description
The Lay Counsellor delivers community-based HIV treatment literacy, adherence support, peer education, patient tracking and tracing and linkage-to-care services within the Khayelitsha Eastern Sub-Structure (KESS). The incumbent supports retention in care, identifies barriers to adherence, conducts household visits, facilitates re-engagement into HIV care, promotes HIV prevention and maintains high-quality paper-based records. The successful encumbents must be willing to walk extensively while conducting door-to-door household visits, work across all identified KESS facilities and participate in flexible working hours averaging 40 hours per week. Outreach Team Leader - HTA Project

Job description
The Professional Nurse and Quality Improvement Lead provides operational, clinical and quality leadership for the HTA Peer Education Project. The successful incumbent will lead the outreach lay counsellor team, oversees patient tracking and tracing, strengthens adherence support, ensures high-quality service delivery, validates programme data, coordinates quality improvement initiatives, and supports achievement of the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets.
